Environmental Impact Study for the Project IC36 - South Leiria (IC2) / Leiria Rising

The Track of IC36 Road between Node South Leiria and Node East Leiria has about 6.5 km and enables the connection between the A8 and A1, directly, allowing connection with the road network surrounding Leiria. With an orientation predominantly West / East, the route is developed to the south of the city of Leiria, crossing, as relevant points, IC2, the Lena River, Rego Travesso, EM 543, EN356-2, the River Lys, EM 544 and EN 113. The project presented in Mainstream Project, was developed between 2004 and 2006, always supported by the simultaneous occurrence of the EIA. In the Shed area was achieved a solution crossing tunnel (cut and cover).

 

• The EIA analyzed aspects such as climate, geomorphology, geology, geotechnical, Seismicity and Tectonics, Water Resources Surface and Groundwater, Soil, Land Use and Planning, Constraints to Land Use, Biological Component, Air Quality, Atmosphere Sound Landscape Social Component, Heritage. Particular emphasis was placed on the mitigation of noise through noise barriers and study of rubber modified pavement.
