A major goal of this SEA was to provide data and information to those responsible for preparing the plan, in order to facilitate the entire development process, providing support for its environmental framework, along with a good understanding of the entities involved in the review and approval of the Block Plan.
• Through the Environmental Report prepared, it is considered that the objectives set out above have been fulfilled, which will contribute very positively to the sustainable socio-economic development of Bacelos, through the actions of urban rehabilitation and qualification of public spaces, providing an important opportunity in urban redevelopment that core.
• To assess the strengths and weaknesses of this Plan, the following critical factors were evaluated: Territorial Dynamics and Urban Structure, Nature and Resource Conservation and Cultural Heritage.
• Strengths of the Plan highlights are the excellent location due to the existing road network, proximity to Lisbon, the diversity of natural and cultural heritage of the region and complementarity of tourism associated with the village and nature tourism, as well as the existence of local tourism products recognized.
