River Metuchira's Dam

Project of a dam featuring a 20m heigh earth wall, a water storage capacity of 75.000.000m3 and a spillway dimensioned to a 2.100m3/s flow, to be built on Metuchira River, with a 720 km2 catchment basin, which is an affluent of the Pungoé River, and it’s intended to supply a 3.000ha rice field.
• Preliminary study – Hydrological characterization of the catchment basin, pre-dimensioning of the dam and of the hydraulic elements, determination of the supply system and of the rice field particulars.
