Railway Viaduct of Alvalade (South Line – section Ermidas / Funcheira)

Double track railway viaduct with a total length of six hundred and fifty meters. This viaduct is divided in seven equal decks, with a length of ninety meters each, separated by expansion joints. The length of each deck is divided by five inner spans with a length of fourteen meters and two outer spans with a length of ten meters. The deck cross section consists in a prestressed concrete slab, transversely extended by cantilevers. A pile/column solution was adopted to support the decks.
