Environmental Coordination and Integration (ECI) of Environmental Monitoring Works of Hydroelectric Foz Tua (AHFT)

The Environmental Coordination and Integration (ECI) project extends from the construction phase until the entry into operation of AHFT over 4 years, and aims to: Direct Monitoring of sensitive operations of the work; Coordination and Integration of the work relating to compliance environmental obligations of the owner workforce; Preparation and maintenance of the Environmental Monitoring Plan.
• The ECI team works in close coordination with the Owner-to-Work within: Coordination and Integration of work: involves compatibility and to ensure compliance with the work of the different contracts environment, including terrestrial fauna, flora and vegetation, aquatic ecosystems, heritage, level of monitoring Programs, Complementary Studies, Countervailing Measures, etc.;
• Development Plan and semiannual monitoring reports to send to the Commission appointed by the Environment Authorities. And in close conjunction with the Supervision of Work with regard to jobs Direct Monitoring of sensitive operations of the work: a team of 3 full-time specialists in the areas of environment, flora and heritage;
• It is planned to follow the General Construction Contract and Contract of the Dam.
